 Not a great product, especially for the price Aug 25, 2010

I just bought a can of this product from my local grocery store as I am very into chocolate, and love to try new cocoa powders.
I have to say that I was very disappointed. It doesn't have much of a chocolatey flavor. After reading reviews on here, I am not surprised Hershey's bought and now owns the Dagoba corporation. Hershey's cocoa powder is lifeless...some people would of course disagree, but they are also the people who haven't tried too many of the "higher-end" powders, like Perginotti, Droste, Valhrona, or Green and Black's Organic Cocoa powder (my favorite).
Anyway, save your money for a better product. I think I will donate my can to a less discerning and grateful friend.

It would be nice if Amazon would take responsibility for providing complete product information for the items they sell. For example, a buyer might assume that the name Dagoba was significant, perhaps representing the company that manufactures the products. In reality, since 2006, the company that produces "Dagoba" chocolate is Hershey's. The cacao products may still be organic and trade certified, but buyers of the products are supporting a huge multi-national corporation, not the small, ethical business that the name Dagoba originally represented.

I baked an almond cake with this cacao, and the flavor is really good. I have baked other things with it, and we love the flavor. I don't use it just in milk, but I can tell for baking is great! Also is gluten free ;)

I enjoy adding a spoon full to my morning coffee and this works perfectly. I was expected it to have a little more intense flavor, but it's excellent for drinks.

Very light color and no flavor. Two stars for the can only, fancy looking and airtight, good for storage. Butif high quality cocoa is what you'd rather pay for, save your money and look elsewhere.
